CZ 75B .40 vs. P-06 , Compare and Contrast |

Hello all, new member question. I'm thinking of buying a new P-06. I know the details and how the 75B .40 and the PCR both feel. Who here can help describe feel the of the P-06? Has anybody had problems getting the P-06 broken-in? How would you describe recoil in relation to the other two CZ's I know? And lastly, is anybody using 12rd (.40) mags that fit flush w/o any sort of funky base pad? Thanks for your input! Sid

12 round mags won't fit in a compact gun (like the P-06) without extending from the base. So the funky "fillers" serve an aesthetic function.
These mags function well in either the compact or full-size .40s. The best you can hope for in a compact pistol, with flush fit, is the Pro-Mag 10-round .40 "Compact" mag -- which have worked better than the CZ-supplied .40 compact mags. Unlike some Pro-Mag offerings, this particular item is a quality mag, and many of us here use it in the "compact" .40s and the compact 9mm CZ models. (It works for either, and gives 13-14 rounds in 9mm.) If the rest of their mags worked as well, Pro-Mag would be giving Mec-Gar a real problem in the marketplace. You may have a bit of a wait for more of an update, as the P-06 is still relatively rare in the real world. |
