Got a P-06 with night sights today

I was checking the local guns shops today and ended up with a P-06 with factory installed nights sights. I can't wait o give it a whirl. I Love my P-01 and SP-01. I'll let you know hpw it works out.

Barrel Length & Accuracy P06 vs 40P ?

First thing I noticed when I was finally able to see some pics of the P06 (thanks guys!) was the shortness of the 'front-end' extending out past the end of the frame compared to a 40P.

Sure enough, the barrel of the P06 is only 3.8 inches, compared to the 40P 4.4 inch barrel. Which is why P01 holsters are usually not usable with a 40P. (Ruger P97 holsters are an exact fit with a 40P.)

One of the key reasons the 40P continues to be such a huge hit,...

Is P-06 frame FORGED alloy like P-01 or CAST alloy like on PCR?

Ladies & Gentlemen:
I'm easily confused ( I've raised 2 kids that probably explains it ). My current understanding:
1) CZ-75 = the old tried and true either in B, SA ( single action ), or BD ( B with Decocking ) configuration full sized frame. Either 9mm or 40sw all steel
2) CZ-75 Compact = in the B, 9mm
3) CZ-75 Compact D PCR

Will an SP-06 ever come?

Hi Everyone. New to the forum and modern CZ pistols. Usually a C&R collector---Have a CZ 50, 52 and 82. Have access to a lot of .40SW ammunition so. of course, had to have a more modern pistol. Decided to try the CZ 75 P 06 in .40SW. Very hard to find but Neal at DeadBang Guns and Automatics in SC was very helpful--had two in stock--apparantly got the last one!! why does CZ still ofer both the P-06 and 75 compact ?

i thought these were pretty much the same things, the compact bing an all steel frame and the p-06 the lighter alloy version. Are the internals different in any way? i understand the compact had some problems with the mag, i haven't heard of any such problems with the P-06. to me, if there was a lighter version of a gun that is of the same quality and durability, there is no reason to have the heavier model. i understand weight reduces recoil, but how much weight difference is there...

Differences between P-01 and P-06?

Other than caliber, are there any differences in weight, size, dimensions,....etc between the P-01 and P-06? I would assume that the P-06 has a beefier slide at the least. Also, what is the flush fit magazine capacity of the P-06? Thanks!

Factory Mags hard to load

I got 3 12rd MecGar mags and they load easy and function great.
I took the rubber base pads off the factory mags and put them on the MecGars.
I need 1 more base pad for the other 12rd Mecgar.

I got 14rd MecGar mags for the P-01
What options do i have for the P-06 in MecGar mags.
I would prefer to have more than 10rd mags.

New from the custom shop, the P06 in .357 Sig.
Since the Shot we have v ported the 5.75" barrel to reduce recoil.
Anyone going to Shot Show call by can see it.
Available with a standard 4.75" barrel in Sig or have it in Sig and 40 S&W.
Hammer has been changed for Custom hammer and trigger work completed.
It's a joy to shoot. Even at 1830 FPS

Another trip to the range

Took my P-06 to the range on saturday. Put another 200 rounds through it, total of 300 rounds now. So far it has operated flawlessly. Tight groups, able to cover 5 shot group with my fist. No FTF/FTE encountered. Have shot CCI Blaser, Federal American Eagle, Remington and Winchester Silvertips. She seems to like them all.

A first glance looks and points like my P-01.

The P-06 is accurate and so far had been 100% reliable with a positive extraction. I have tried S&B, Remington, WWB and Speer gold dots. All feed and function good. It is as accurate as my P-01 which is very good. I do not like the look of the magazines with the extra baseplate, but these must be the new designed mags with the verticle groove to improve feeding issues. They are basically a 12 round mag with the verticle grooves...

Just got back from the range wqith my new P-06. First impression had to do with the mag base plate, after carrying a P-01 for over a year, it looks strange, that being said, when compared side by side the base plate on the P-06 only increases the length of the grip by about 1/8th of an inch. Not enough to make a difference in the ability to conceal it. Trigger was no surprise, a little gritty, but nothing I can't live with. It has already started to smooth out some (my impression). Love...
