sights for a Pre-B

I have seen pre_b with replacement sights, but nobody seems to have it on the shelf. I saw the pics of SA Camps 75 and they appear to be novaks.
Does anyone make them, or is it limited to small production runs,

Where is the best place to buy 75 mags and whats the difference between new mags and mags for pre b's?

Late Transitional CZ85

I recently bought a late trasitional 85. It has the current frame and slide with the old roll mark on the side. It is missing the right side slide release. Will a current model slide release work if I ordered it from CZ-USA?

Buying First Gun Question

Being the first gun i want to buy is a CZ75 Classic, it is best to post in here (posting in the other forums will be pointless cause the others are easly avaliable ie still in production) I plan to get my Gun license next week (California), i am wondering if i should attempt to buy a CZ75 pre-b for 500 online (looks pretty cruddy, ie not a collector quality) or should i wait for the gun show that is in July and hope one of the vendors carry a CZ75. (i tried to find the pre-b in the forum...

Price On Pre- B Question

I found a CZ 75 Pre-B. It's enameled, with a small chip on the back strap. It does not have the original grips. One clip. What would be a fair price for it. This is the first one I've seen.

Barrel markings.

One of my many Pre-B's has a mark on the barrel that says "Akah" and the barrel's SR still match up.
The only info I've found was a barrel maker in Germany.
Anyone else have a Pre-B with these markings?

Rubber Grip Panels for Pre-B CZ75?

Hello all -

I have a very nice pre-B CZ75, an Action Arms import, marked Czechesovakia, and I have rubber grip panels on it, that, IIRC, I got off a pre-B CZ75 compact that I later traded. The full size CZ75 had the "waffle" grips, which I understand are very hard to find now. I took the grips off the compact, and put them on the full size...and then traded the compact with the original full size grips.

CZ-75 Short Rail

I've always been a CZ fan for as long as I've been interested in guns. The original, first edition, short rail 77-80 CZ 75 is a gun I've always held in high regard. My new 75B is no slouch, but I've always wanted to own the original.

Does anybody here know how much they go for on average? Where's a good place to keep an eye out for one? Do they pop up on a regular basis, or are they few and far between?

touch up paint for 80s enamel finsh CZ75

I just picked up a early CZ75 that has the black enamel finsh. It has a couple of small spot were the paint has come off and I would like to touch them up. Does anybody know of a good paint that can be used. I remember that somebody had used some type of engine paint to freshing up their pre B CZ75.

75B safety & slide stop on a Pre-B?

Can a 75B slide stop and/or a 75B safety be substituted on a Pre-B 75?
If not a drop in replacement, then how difficult would it be?

Refinishing thoughts

Good evening, All -

I'm the proud owner of an '87 non-import marked CZ-75 that was given to me as a graduation present 20 years ago. In that time, I've shot around 4000 rounds through it and the original black enamal finish is chipping off in places. The only mods to date are a set of LPA adjustable sights that were installed in Germany and a set of Hogue grips.

Local Gunshop find

I accidently found this while I was browsing around at my local gunshop/shooting range and had to have it.

It's a 1986 non-import and as you can see, in almost mint condition. Also has the old style wide spur hammer.

Different from my other Pre Bs that I have is that this one actually has a blued finish rather than the enamel, unfortunately no box or paperwork, still a neat find. With tax and background check it came out to be $466 out the door. Not the best deal...

Refinished Again

I recoated in Gunkote and baked again, because I had tried to polish up the flats a little, and ended up with shiny edges. Now, it looks more like a dark parkerization (which was an original CZ finish).

Detail Strip

Well... one thing about broken trigger springs - it gets you GOOD at detail stripping - even a PreB. This was a spring I bought back in '04, and it lasted about 200 dry fires - and broke! CZ DID put out a bad batch. On the positive side, I can now take a PreB down the whole way in about 30 minutes - sights and all. Maybe faster if I tried.

How can you determine year of manufacture???

Kadet Kit on a Pre-B?

Has anyone tried a .22lr Kadet Kit on a Pre-B?
Will they fit and work properly? Any issues?
Does it matter what vintage Pre-B? Mine's an '86.

I would really like to have one of these but don't want to waste my money if they only work on B's.

I had to update my flash player to version 9 and then you have to click on download in the upper right corner of the viewer.

Hi fellas,
I've been hanging around here for a few years. Am the former owner of several CZ's and Witness's and recently acquired an unfired '86 Pre-B.
It's NOT unfired any more. :-)
Here's the thing, it came with two numbered mags but I would like to have 1 or 2 more. If any of you have an extra factory Pre-B mag or two and would consider selling them please send me a message or email.
I plan to look at the gunshows in my area but they have gotten...
